Discover Oxford

Located in the South of England about an hour from London, Oxford is undoubtedly one of the most reputable university towns in the world. Every year more than 37,000 students flock to Oxford for its excellence in education as well as the numerous opportunities for recreational activities that this student town offers. Theatres, cinemas, pubs, museums, art galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, concert halls, markets, and a botanical gardens contribute to the exceptional atmosphere of this superb historical centre.

When the weather gets a little warmer, street performers play music to the crowds. If you prefer something more unusual, you can try the Oxford tradition of punting on the river, or watch cricket and rugby on the university sports grounds (you can’t get something British than punting or cricket!) Oxford is surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in England, including the Cotswolds with its traditional stone-built villages and undulating hills; perfect for a weekend getaway. Henry the Eighth studied here, and JRR Tolkien taught at the university for decades. Quintissentially English, Oxford is home to a diverse population with bars, restaurants, cafes and shops catering to all tastes. Delve into English history and wander through the quaint town for a real taste of British architecture and culture.
