Discover Boston

Boston: the Cradle of Liberty, the Athens of America, the City of Champions. It’s one of the most historically important American cities, still complete with quaint, colonial-style architecture going all the way back to the first New World settlements. With over 50 colleges and universities in the Boston area, the city is crawling with some of the world’s best and brightest minds and the student life that goes along with it.

Economic and cultural centre of liberal-leaning New England, Boston is forward-thinking and progressive. With tons of green areas, bike paths along the Charles River and throughout the city, efficient public transportation and twisty-turny streets, Boston is an old city (for the US) that has matured into a smart and well-designed metropolis. History buffs will love learning about Boston’s importance in the American Revolution and its special place in American history, and will soak up its thousands of restaurants, cafes, Irish pubs, and museums.

Our partner school, ELI, is located on Pine Manor College in an upscale Boston suburb, 20 minutes from the city centre. The school is an integral part of Pine Manor College – ELI students have the opportunity to participate in on-campus events and classes with students from the United States (outside university holidays).
