Drogheda

Nestled between Dublin and Belfast, located less than an hour from the capital and home to 50,000 people, Drogheda retains a lovely small-town atmosphere yet it’s packed with things to see and do. Drogheda is a city that develops fast due to the fact that global companies such as Coca Cola and E-Bay recently decided to make it their home. It is packed with everything you can find in any major city: shopping centres, cinemas, traditional pubs, restaurants, cafés or Ireland’s largest theme park… Drogheda also boasts a rich history: the 5000-year-old world famous Newgrange passage tomb is located only 8 km away, while 18th-century Oldbridge House is nowadays the visitor centre for the Battle of the Boyne. A modern, traditional and historic town, Drogheda has something for everyone. Nestled in the beautiful Boyne Valley, Drogheda is the perfect destination for students of all ages.

Our partner school ELI is located in a beautiful old warehouse building on the waterfront just 5 minutes-walk from the main shopping and cultural areas.
