Founded in 1985, our IELS partner school on the island of Malta is located in Sliema, a cosmopolitan seaside resort 5 km from the capital Valletta and half an hour’s drive from the international airport. The school is a stone’s throw from the seafront promenade that locals use every evening to visit the many restaurants, bars, cafés and discos in the St Julian’s area.

The ideal programme for making rapid progress. The course includes thestandard General English moduleof 20 lessons per week , 10 lessons in the afternoons. You will develop your vocabulary. The emphasis is on oral communication in everyday situations.

Every week, the school organises cultural activities in the afternoons and evenings, in which you are free to participate or not. These activities may be free or at cost and their frequency varies according to the time of year.

Travel time to school: maximum 45 minutes by public transport. Most families on the island of Malta live in the districts of Sliema, St. Julian’s, Swieqi; others in the neighbouring villages of San Gwann, Msida, Ta/Xbiex, Naxxar, Lija, Balzan and Attard.

Note:

Our students who take part in a short-term stay in this destination are often accommodated with a ‘bed & breakfast’ host family. This more informal option, which differs from a full, typical family immersion, is nevertheless a practical, high-quality solution for young people and adults.
