Founded in 1985, our IELS partner school on the island of Malta is located in Sliema, a cosmopolitan seaside resort 5 km from the capital Valletta and half an hour’s drive from the international airport. The school is a stone’s throw from the seafront promenade that locals use every evening to visit the many restaurants, bars, cafés and discos in the St Julian’s area.

4 lessons per day during which you will improve the 4 fundamental skills of written and oral expression, listening comprehension and reading. You will also develop your ability to use practical English in everyday life.

Intensive course

30 lessons of general English per week

Ideal programme for rapid progress. The course includes the General English module of 20 lessons per week, plus 10 lessons in the afternoons. You will develop your vocabulary. The emphasis is on oral communication in everyday situations.

Every week, the school organises cultural activities in the afternoons and evenings, in which you are free to participate or not. These activities may be free or at cost and their frequency varies according to the time of year.

Shared room, shared bathroom and half board

Travel time to school: maximum 45 minutes by public transport. Most families on the island of Malta live in the districts of Sliema, St. Julian’s, Swieqi; others in the neighbouring villages of San Gwann, Msida, Ta/Xbiex, Naxxar, Lija, Balzan and Attard.

Our students on short breaks to this destination often stay with a “bed & breakfast” host family. This more affordable option, which differs from a typical full family immersion, is nevertheless a practical and quality solution for young people and adults.
