Malta

The Maltese nation is located in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and is the perfect place to study English all year round.

Its Mediterranean climate, gorgeous bays and tranquil villages make it a haven of serenity. If you’re looking for something more active, Malta also boasts a rich and lengthy history, bars, shops and restaurants galore and buzzing nightlife.

English is one of the two official languages of the archipelago, stemming from two centuries of British rule. If you’re looking for sea, sand and sun as well as top-notch English lessons, Malta is the place for you!

Malta is an archipelago constituted of 8 islands, 4 of which are inhabited. The island of Malta is the largest and most famous one and is home to the capital city of Valletta.

Founded in 1985, our partner school, IELS, is located in Sliema, a charming tourist resort built around a small bay, 5 km from Valletta and 30 minutes’ drive from the airport. The school is located a stone’s throw from the promenade which leads to the restaurants, bars, cafes and clubs of St Julian’s (a 15-minute walk).

IELS Malta is FELTOM and ALTO accredited.
