English language course with supervised lessons and activities
Dublin, the lively capital, has managed to preserve the warm and traditionally festive atmosphere that is so characteristic of Ireland. Its relatively small size makes it an ideal destination for young people. It combines the advantages of a capital city with the intimacy of a smaller one.
Dublin is also a major cultural centre, with its many theatres, its literary tradition (James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, etc.) and its music. There’s no shortage of entertainment venues.

This programme is open to young people aged 14* to 17 for stays of 1 to 5 weeks.
*13-year-old students are accepted if a sibling is participating in the programme or if they are accompanied by their parents (participation in the day programme).
The programme takes place on the campus of Belvedere College, a renowned and historic public school in the heart of Dublin. Students will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of James Joyce, who was himself a pupil at this school in 1894!
Students receive high-quality tuition from experienced, native English-speaking teachers. The staff are friendly and always on hand to help.

The school has :

The programme includes 15 English lessons of 45 minutes per week. In addition to the general English lessons, students will have the opportunity to meet and talk to native speakers as part of the “English in Action Projects”: interactive projects that allow them to practise the language outside the classroom. Classes take place in the mornings.
The teachers in charge of these projects have been carefully selected for their dynamic approach to teaching, guaranteeing participants an enriching and stimulating experience. Students are regularly asked to carry out their projects in the field and then to present them orally in class in the presence of their fellow students and teachers, so that the other participants can benefit from them.
On the first day, a placement test is carried out to allocate all students to a group that corresponds to their level of English.

Minimum level of English required: elementary (A1). No complete beginners.
2 to 3 topics will be covered each week as part of the course. These themes may include :

The weekly programme of activities includes
- 5 half-days of recreational, leisure, cultural or sporting activities
- 2 evenings of activities
- 1 Saturday excursion outside Dublin

Families are carefully selected by the school. They usually all live in the same part of town, so that students can group together to make the journey.
