Oxford

Located in the South of England about an hour from London, Oxford is undoubtedly one of the most reputable university towns in the world with its 154 000 inhabitants. Every year more than 40,000 students flock to Oxford for its excellence in education as well as the numerous opportunities for recreational activities the town offers.

Important place of cultural heritage, it is closely linked to the history of the United Kingdom, providing education and knowledge to the elite of the country. Henry VIII in particular has studied there and the great writer J.R.R. Tolkien taught at the University for decades.

Oxford is also the setting of several scenes of extremely popular films for the youth such as the “Harry Potter’s episdes” and “The Golden Compass”.

Located on the same campus as Magdalen College, our partner school’s summer camp is held in the very heart of Oxford. The recently refurbished facilities are central and there are on-site sports facilities. Between 200 and 300 students attend the programme every week.
