Barcelona

Located between the Mediterranean Sea and the hills of Montjuic, Barcelona conjures up a whole range of historical and architectural delights for you to feast your eyes on – Parc Guell, the Miro Foundation, las Ramblas, the Sagrada Familia cathedral, the picturesque Boqueria market, the Gothic Quarter or Camp Nou, the FC Barcelona stadium… But Catalonia’s capital is so much more than the structures that surround it. Bright, breezy Barcelona is the ideal place to soak up some sun while making vast improvements in your Spanish skills.

The summer camp is very easy to get to, and is located outside of the city centre on the seaside resort of Castelldefels, boasting about 5 km of wide sandy beaches. Students are housed in an on-site residence while attending classes at the campus school, making for a safe and secure environment.

Spanish lessons

20 Spanish lessons per week

Lesson duration: 45 minutes
Class size: average 8 students (maximum 14)
Placement test: first day of lessons
Certificate of completion at the end of the course
Qualified native Spanish teachers
Language level: all levels, beginners to advanced

Along with 4 Spanish lessons per day, students take part in a whole range of exciting sports, Spanish culture and leisure activities during their stay. Students are divided into 3 groups – 5-10s, 11-14s and 15-17s during these activities.

Some of the many activities available include:

Culture and leisure activities every afternoon: treasure hunt, Parc Guell, Tibidabo Theme Park, Poble Espanyol and many more!
Sports: swimming, beach sports, basketball, volleyball, football, Frisbee, badminton,etc.
Day trips: Roman city of Tarragona, Sitges village & resort, etc.
Evening activities at the residence: barbecues, movie nights, discos, theme nights, fancy dress parties, shows (concerts, plays, talent shows)

Please note that due to scheduling conflicts, students who enroll in these optional programmes may not always be able to participate in all of the other camp activities.

Located in a quiet residential area near the beach. The city centre can easily be accessed by public transport (Metro in particular).
Laundry service: once every 2 weeks. Note: students should bring a laundry bag and their clothes should be labelled

Arrival/departure airports or stations:

Barcelona Airport/Railway Station/Coach Station: transfer to and from campus included

Please note: Do not make travel arrangements until we have confirmed your enrolment in your chosen course.

Permission to leave the grounds (15+ only)

Students aged 15+ and presenting a signed consent form from their parents will be granted permission to leave the grounds until 22:30 on their own within the limits of 3 outings maximum per session of 2 weeks. Outing days are determined by the centre manager.

Students under 15 or students 15+ without a signed parental consent form, will by no means be allowed to leave the grounds.

The whole course and activity programme is organised in order to occupy the students’ timetable as much as possible.

Camp sessions last for 2 weeks minimum. 4 weeks sessions are also available over the period.

Bank Holiday (no classes will take place on that day and they will not be reimbursed. Replacement activities will be organised instead by group leaders): August 15.
