Training behind closed doors
What could be better, when you have a busy professional life, than to escape for one or more weeks to the heart of the Ardennes, in a green and relaxing area? The course takes place just a few kilometres from Spa and its thermal baths: a soothing experience that will allow you to immerse yourself 100% in the German language and to concentrate fully on your intensive training.
The training centre in Spa
Located in the heart of a lush and historic estate, the centre is made up of several buildings all dedicated to the learning of a particular language, called “immersion areas”. There are several training rooms (courses and workshops), a dining room so that all meals can be shared in German and a lounge so that you can continue speaking German during breaks.
The centre also has two multimedia areas, an international lounge for all the learners to meet up, as well as numerous sports areas for those who wish to relax and exercise, thanks to the multi-sports fields, tennis court, squash and petanque courts.
If you need or want to stay connected, Wi-Fi, ADSL and computers are available free of charge throughout your stay.
The CERAN method
CERAN’s intensive German language training for executives and professionals focuses on communication and interaction. Continuous training, supervised by qualified teachers and native speakers, is the best way to make rapid progress in German.
German courses: general information
The centre offers a range of courses, all of which consist of the following sessions
- General German lessons with a focus on general and managerial communication (depending on the level of the participants)
- Phonetic training: you work on and improve your pronunciation with the help of the SpeedLingua software, which opens your ear to German frequencies and corrects you in real time.
- Multimedia sessions: guided by a trainer, you develop your oral comprehension and enrich your vocabulary.
- Instructional guidance workshops: your trainer makes you aware of your “learner profile” in order to help you assimilate your new knowledge ever more quickly.
Please note that all courses are given in 45 minute sessions.
In addition to the lessons, there are other activities throughout the day:
- Thematic conversation tables in German every day during lunch, together with your trainers.
- Discussions in German during all breaks
- Thematic evenings every day for two hours: intercultural communication, presentations, team management
A comfortable residence
Because you are embarking on an intensive training course, we have to provide you with the highest quality accommodation. You will be accommodated in the heart of the estate in a comfortable single room (double rooms are available for couples) equipped with a bathroom (shower or bath) with toilet and a desk if you need to work or if you wish to take your learning further.
In addition to the standard rooms, there aretwo suites, which provide a service to meet all your needs and expectations.
Spacious and decorated in a contemporary style, the rooms will offer you the well-being, calm and rest you need for your training.
This accommodation package includes full board meals from Sunday evening to Friday lunchtime.
If your stay lasts more than a week and you wish to stay on site during the weekend, we can organise your accommodation for the nights of Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday as well as breakfasts. Please see the Dates and Prices tab for prices.
Finally, if the residence is fully booked, CERAN can offer you accommodation in a hotel of equivalent category close to the centre.
Transport
- If you wish, we can organise your transfer from Düsseldorf International and Brussels Zaventem airports and Brussels or Liège train stations (see “Dates & Fees”).
- For participants who prefer to come to the course by car, parking is available at the centre.
