Alicante is located in the south-east of Spain near Valencia, in the heart of the Costa Blanca. It’s a beautiful city with a beach, an international airport and a population of 335,000 inhabitants. For tourists it’s the city of dreams with its turquoise-blue waters, palm trees and Mediterranean climate of 300 days of sun a year. located in between some of the best vineyards in Spain, it’s no secret that the quality of both Alicante’s wine and olives is incredibly high. Alicante has an incredible cultural heritage, as it was founded by the Carthaginian general, Hamilcar Barca, in the 3rd century BC. With stunning panoramas of the Mediterranean Sea from the city walls or from the citadel, you could’t ask for a better destination. The typically Spanish area has various cultural centres, shops and a lively night life as well as numerous outdoor activities like windsurfing, water skiing, tennis, golf, and horse back riding. Spanish lessons: the basics

  • Lesson length: 50 minutes
  • Class size: maximum 10
  • Schedule: morning or afternoon lessons, depending on the time of year
  • Placement test: first day of lessons
  • Certificate of completion at the end of your course
  • Qualified native Spanish teachers

15 lessons per week, minimum 2 weeks

4 lessons a day will give you a practical understanding of the Spanish language and train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

25 lessons per week, minimum 2 weeks

The ideal course to get your Spanish where you want it to be, and fast. 5 Spanish lessons per day from Mon-Fri.

This course includes 25 general Spanish lessons plus 5 DELE preparation classes per week (max. 5 students in these preparatory classes)

The DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the only Spanish language proficiency certificate officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. If you wish to attend university in Spain or work in a Spanish-speaking country, sitting the DELE exam is the first step to success.

We recommend that you study Spanish for a sufficient length of time before enrolling in a DELE-specific course and sitting the test.

Language level: A2 minimum

5 or 10 lessons per week, minimum 1 week

One-on-one lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs. If you’re looking to make progress fast or preparing for an exam, one-on-one lessons can give you an extra boost.

One-on-one lessons (5 or 10 per week) can be taken in addition to our standard or intensive courses.

There are various social and leisure activities held every week in the afternoons and evenings. You are more than welcome to participate in these activities, though they are not mandatory. Many of these activities are free of charge, though some may require a fee. All activities are subject to change and vary depending on the season.

Travel time to school: Our host families usually live 15-30 minutes’ walk from the school.
