Seoul is the world’s second largest metropolis in terms of population, with over 25 million inhabitants. Seoul is a bustling city, the centre of Korea’s political, economic, social and cultural life, offering unlimited opportunities for discovery and leisure.

Despite its population density, the city enjoys an ideal location, surrounded by the sea and snow-capped mountains, and built around the Han River. A city of rapid urbanisation, Seoul proudly displays its skyscrapers, bustling shopping streets and shopping centres, particularly renowned for their cosmetics.

The Gangnam district

Popularised worldwide by the singer Psy and his song “Gangnam style”, the Gangnam district is the place to be. A fashionable place par excellence, with a mix of wealth and excess, it attracts young Koreans who like to show off and observe others. Nevertheless, pop culture is omnipresent: fans of Korean films are bound to recognise the area!

School in Seoul

Theinternational school in Seoul has been specialising in language courses for over ten years and has a bilingual team on hand to help you with everything you need to do in this exotic environment (health care, visas, outings and excursions, student jobs, etc.).

Our partner school is located right in the centre of the Gangnam district, just a few minutes’ walk from Gangnam metro station and the lively streets. You’ll be spoilt for choice in terms of restaurants, bars, shopping trips and nightclubs.
The school has ten air-conditioned classrooms. A computer room with ten computers and Wi-Fi connection allows students to connect easily to the Internet free of charge. Books and DVDs can be borrowed to take home or to consult in the multimedia room, which has a large television screen.
Students can use the fully equipped kitchen for their lunches (microwave ovens and kettles), and teas and coffees are available.

Korean language course: general information

Students follow a programme of 15 lessons of 60 minutes of Korean per week, from Monday to Friday morning. Classes take place in an international atmosphere and focus on practising the language. They include oral expression exercises (conversation, role-playing, debates, etc), oral and written comprehension and written expression.

An individual interview will also be organised on the first day of the course to assess your level and your objectives.

Classes run from 08:45 to 12:15.

  • 5 half-days of fun, sports or cultural activities: Gangnam Tour, K-Star Road, Lotte World Aquarium, Tae Kwon Do, K-pop dance, Trick Eye Museum, Lotte World Amusement Park…

Activities take place from 13:15 to 16:00.

Optional activities at extra cost (for 13-17 year olds, registration on site) at weekends

All activities and evenings are supervised by the school’s activity leaders.

Renowned for their hospitality, many Korean families are ready to welcome you with open arms. This option allows you to live at the pace of Korean culture and fully appreciate its excellent food. It’s one of the best ways to learn more about this fascinating country and develop your Korean language skills. You will benefit from a half-board package. Wifi, bed linen and towels are included. Accommodation with a host family is a wonderful way to practise your language skills while discovering the habits and traditions of the locals.

Arriving in Seoul

Nearest airport: Incheon International Airport (ICN), 40 km from the centre of Seoul, with direct connections from Europe.
Our partner school offers a 24-hour transfer service from the airport to your accommodation or to the school. This service is free of charge as part of the school package.
