This course is an introduction to Korean, both written and spoken. The programme is best suited to complete beginners. The Korean language is explained in Korean and English to facilitate understanding.

A series of cultural activities is proposed to give you the opportunity to meet Korean students.

Intermediate level

This course is most suitable for students who have followed the beginners’ programme or who already have a basic knowledge of Korean. A good knowledge of the Hangeul alphabet and Hanja is required.

Most of the teaching is given in Korean, although English or another language may be used to explain certain more complex points. A series of cultural activities will enable you to meet local students.

Advanced level

This course is designed for students who have taken the intermediate level programme or who have extensive experience of Korean: the student should be able to discuss a range of topics in Korean with ease. The emphasis is on the production of high quality written texts on a wide range of topics.

The school organises a number of weekly outings for all students, including pub nights, karaoke evenings and a student evening every Thursday called ‘Lexis After Dark’. Weekend outings are also organised: a K-pop concert, a traditional cooking class, a weekend in a mountain temple, etc. Some of these activities are included in the price, while others require payment on site.
