German courses: general information

Please note: complete beginners must start on 30/06.

Open to students aged 14 to 17
Course duration: between 1 and 6 weeks
Length of lesson: 45 minutes
Maximum number of students per class: between 10 and 12 (15 maximum)
Timetable: lessons are generally given in the morning
Placement test: on the first day of the course
Certificate of attendance at the end of the course

Standard course

20 general German lessons per week

With this programme, you will have lessons every morning from 9:00 to 10:30 and from 11:00 to 12:30. You will develop the 4 basic skills of written and oral expression, listening comprehension and reading.

Levels offered: elementary to upper intermediate (A1 to B2)

Intensive course

24 lessons of general German per week

You will follow the standard programme plus 4 German lessons per week.

Levels offered: elementary to advanced (A1 to C1)

The school organises 5 socio-cultural and sporting activities in the afternoons during the week and Sundays are spent with the family. Every 2-week stay includes an excursion day. A detailed timetable will be given to students at the beginning of their stay.

Example of possible activities :

Travel time to school: families are generally located in a residential area 25 to 60 minutes from the school by public transport
Bed linen and towels provided
Laundry done approximately once every fortnight

It is possible to request a single room at an additional cost (limited availability).

Day of arrival: Sunday (between 9am and 6pm)

Day of departure: Saturday (between 9am and 6pm)

Airport/station of arrival: Berlin (BER) or Berlin Hbf main station.

Transfer available on request (at an additional cost, see “Dates & Prices” tab).

Note: do not book your ticket until we have confirmed your stay (approximately 4 days after payment of your deposit).
