Nuremberg

Second most important city of Bavaria, Nuremberg is a cultural and historic stronghold, and for centuries was the preferred royal residence for German kings. They poured their riches into this Bavarian town, building castles and churches galore. Examples of these architectural delights can still be seen today. Nuremberg also played a key part in the Second World War and it was here that the trials were held following the armistice.

Today, Nuremberg is a modern city buzzing with activity, with cafes, restaurants and upmarket shops lining the streets between the churches and palaces.
