Language programme in Hamburg

Hamburg is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Germany with its architecture and scenic river setting. This harbour city runs along the Elbe river, and is not just an industrial city; it has a myriad of cultural and artistic activities for you to choose from. Visitors have the chance to wander round the unique shops and discover the intriguing, artistic culture of such a charming city. Known for being a creative area, it’s no wonder that Hamburg is the capital of comedy and German Indie Rock.

Hamburg is often called the Venice of the North due to its huge artifical lakes and multiple canals. The harbour itself is the third largest in the world, giving it a certain charm next to its creative side. This city is full of surprises, and you will definitely fall in love with the North after visiting its major city.

Discover various elements of Norddeutsche Kultur: being a little more discreet than the Oktoberfest and Karnival traditions of cities located in the south, that does not mean that you will be short on activities – on the contrary! If you’re looking for a high quality language programme while living in the heart of a beautiful and culturally diverse city, then Hamburg is for you.

Founded in 2009, our partner school DID is located in the city centre, a 5 minute walk from the Jungfernstieg and close to tram station Dammtor.
