Intensive French courses in CERAN
What could be better, when you have a busy professional life, than to escape for one or more weeks to the heart of the Ardennes, in a green and relaxing setting? The course takes place just a few kilometres from Spa and its thermal baths: a rejuvenating experience that will allow you to immerse yourself 100% in the French language and concentrate fully on your intensive course.
The Spa training centre
Located in the heart of a lush estate steeped in history, the centre is made up of several buildings, all dedicated to learning a particular language, known as “immersion areas”. There are several training rooms (courses and workshops), a dining room so that all meals can be shared in French, and a lounge where you can continue to speak French during breaks.
The centre also has two multimedia areas, an international lounge where all the learners can meet up, and plenty of sports facilities for those who want to relax and work out, with multi-sports pitches, a tennis court, squash courts and petanque courts.
If you need or want to stay connected, Wi-Fi, ADSL and computers are available free of charge throughout your stay.
The CERAN method
The intensive French language training offered by CERAN for managers and professionals focuses primarily on communication and interaction. Ongoing training, supervised by qualified teachers and native speakers, is the best way to make rapid progress in French.
French courses: general information
The centre offers a range of courses, all consisting of the following sessions:
- General French lessons with a focus on managerial communication (depending on the level of the participants)
- Phonetic training: you work on and improve your pronunciation using SpeedLingua software, which opens your ear to the frequencies of French and corrects you in real time
- Multimedia sessions: guided by a trainer, you develop your listening comprehension and expand your vocabulary
- Pedagogical guidance workshops: your trainer makes you aware of your “learner profile” to help you assimilate your new knowledge ever more quickly
Please note that all courses are given in 45-minute sessions.
In addition to the lessons, other activities are organised throughout the day:
- Theme-based conversation tables in French every day during lunch, in the company of your trainers
- Discussions in French during all breaks
- Theme evenings every day for two hours: intercultural communication, presentations, team management, etc
Because you are embarking on an intensive course, we have a duty to provide you with accommodation of the highest quality. You will be accommodated in the heart of the estate in a comfortable single room (double rooms are available for couples) equipped with a bathroom (shower or bath) with toilet, as well as a desk if you need to work or wish to take your learning even further.
The standard rooms are complemented bytwo suites, offering a service to meet all your needs and expectations.
Spacious and decorated in a contemporary style, the rooms will offer you the well-being, calm and rest you need for your training.
This accommodation package includes full-board meals from Sunday evening to Friday lunchtime.
If your stay lasts longer than a week and you wish to stay on site over the weekend, we can organise your accommodation for the nights of Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday, as well as breakfasts. See prices in the Dates and Prices tab.
Finally, if the residence is fully booked, CERAN can offer you accommodation in a hotel of an equivalent category close to the centre.
Transport
- If you wish, we can organise your transfer from Düsseldorf International and Brussels Zaventem airports and Brussels or Liège train stations (see the “Dates & Prices” tab).
- For participants who prefer to come to the course by car, a car park is available within the centre.

Stays run from Sunday to Friday and can last from one week to a maximum of six months.
The school is open all year round, including public holidays, with the exception of the Christmas period.
