Liverpool

Liverpool is a dynamic city and you can always find something to do. In 2008, it was elected the European capital of culture, which has left a strong mark on the city. After London, Liverpool has the most theatres, museums and art galleries in England. It is also known as the global capital of pop thanks to The Beatles.

If you’re not into music or museums, then don’t worry you’re in luck! Liverpool has much more than that. Regarding sports, this city is home to two of the biggest English football clubs: Everton and Liverpool.

Not only this, but this city is an important university hub, student life is thus very lively. Restaurants, bars, nightlife… We told you, it is impossible to be bored in this city!

Activities are organised by the school so that students may practice their English outside of the classroom. It is a great opportunity to meet other students at the school and have a fun outing with the teachers. Some activities have a charge but there are at least 2 free activities per week.

Activities are quite varied; there are of course the typical outings around Liverpool such as the Cavern Club, The Beatles museum or even Liverpool FC stadium. There are activities that are more cultural such as visits to museums or galleries. There are more active activities such as paintballing, football, games evenings, music evenings and the surprising “ghost walks”. There are even some activities that the teachers haven’t thought of that the students themselves suggest. The school is always open to new ideas, if you have any don’t hesitate to tell your teacher!

Weekend excursions in surrounding cities are also organised.

There is no better way than a host family to totally immerse yourself in British culture. Additionally, this option will enable you to practice English with natives outside of the classroom. Thanks to this complete immersion, you will make quick and solid progress in English.

Accommodation is booked in a single room on half-board. Families are located on average 30 minutes from the school by bus or train. The families do not live in the city centre.

The residential accommodation offers an international experience. If you are looking for more independence, the residence is for you.

The residences are very modern and are only a few minutes on foot from the school. The accommodation is booked in a single room with a private bathroom, the kitchen is shared with the other international students (between 5 and 10 people depending on the residence).
