Höchst is a small town of 10,000 inhabitants located in the heart of the Oden Forest, 25km east of Darmstadt. Every year the city hosts a range of festivals such as the Apfelblütenfest (Apple Blossom Festival) and a string of impressive markets such as the Odenwälder Kartoffelmarkt (the Potato Market – a true testament to Germany’s appreciation for the tuber). This is ideal for communicating with the great outdoors and breathing in the fresh air, and is particularly good for younger students.

German courses: the basics

Ages 8 – 14
Lesson length: 45 minutes
Class size: Average 10 – 12 students (maximum 15)
Schedule: morning and/or afternoon lessons
Course length: 2 – 7 weeks
Placement test: first day of lessons
Certificate of completion at the end of your stay

20 General German lessons per week

Schedule: 9:00 – 12:30 – Monday to Friday

Language level: beginner-upper intermediate (A0-B2). Complete beginners must start 27/06/2021

24 General German lessons per week

Includes the above General German classes, plus an extra four lessons per week, usually held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 13:00 – 14:30

Language level: beginner-upper intermediate (A1-B2)

You will enjoy a varied calendar of social and leisure activities every week, in the afternoon and during the evening. Two-week stays include one day trip. The school will provide a detailed activity schedule on arrival.
